Therefore, Delaware’s agriculture food processing division is one of the most important manufacturing sectors in Kent and Sussex counties.
The Food Innovation District aims to display the economic impact analysis of the agriculture food system growth in Kent County, which will be determined by business innovation and the ability to understand modern consumption patterns, strengths within the system and opportunities for growth.
The Food Innovation District will distinctively enrich these business ventures through economic research, expertise and training which will allow economic development in Kent County that stems from small business agri-food ventures that can adapt to technology, their ideas, and resources to the rapidly changing consumer wants, needs and perceptions.
